We continue to search for and accept nominations for the following volunteer Council Members: FELLOWSHIP AND CARING MINISTRY TEAM CHAIR, and an occasional FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITY ORGANIZER.

Are you looking for a place to occasionally contribute your time and talents? We are hoping to add willing new prospective volunteers to several current volunteer rosters. For your convenience the sign ups may be accessed online from the Volunteer Opportunities web page. For those without internet connectivity, the schedule monitors can always be contacted in person, by phone, or email.

Coffee Time After Church Service

Has it been a while since last you hosted Sunday “Coffee and Conversation”? This is a time very much enjoyed and appreciated by the congregation after Sunday Worship Service, but it can’t happen without you! Consider teaming up with others and create opportunities for Fellowship. Many hands make light work!

A Schedule has been created on Sign Up Genius for volunteers interested in hosting these very anticipated get togethers! Here you can view the schedule and chose a convenient open volunteer slot. (As a bonus you will get an email reminder prior to your selected date!).

Communion Server Sign Up!

Rev. Jope is inviting people to participate during upcoming Worship Services. If you are interested, please click on the button below to take you to the schedule created on Sign Up Genius. Once there, choose a convenient Communion Sunday to volunteer, and follow the prompts to sign up with your email address. Rev. Jope will then contact with you with the particulars, and, Sign Up Genius will send you a reminder a few days in advance !

SUNDAY SCRIPTURE READERS WANTED!

Rev. Jope is inviting people to volunteer to share Scripture Readings during upcoming Worship Services. If you are interested, please click on the button below to take you to the schedule created on Sign Up Genius. Once there, choose a convenient Sunday to volunteer, and follow the prompts to sign up with your email address. Rev. Jope will then contact with you with the particulars, and, Sign Up Genius will send you a reminder a few days in advance! WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING SUNDAY GREETERS:

Sunday Greeters arrive early, station themselves at the main door to the Narthex, and warmly greet the arriving congregation and visitors to Sunday Worship Service!

( We encourage Greeters to wear masks, especially as covid and influenza continue to circulate in our community. Hand sanitizer is available.)

WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING SUNDAY COLLECTION COUNTER VOLUNTEERS:

Collection Counter Volunteers are responsible for: - counting the Sunday Collection twice a month (no longer weekly)         - preparing the bank deposit, and physically making the deposit at the bank secure drop box.                

Training will be provided. Volunteers are required to work in pairs, so you will always have support!

CALLING ALL CHURCH PHOTO JOURNALISTS!

We are looking for current event and people photos to update our Lakeview United Church’s Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook platforms. You don’t have to be IT savvy! Send your digital photos and captions via email to Kelly, our new Social Media Coordinator and she will upload them for all to enjoy.

Friendly Phone Visitor Volunteers:

This is a volunteer opportunity that can be accomplished from the comfort and ‘covid/influenza safety’ of your own home, and, on your own schedule! Though there seems to be light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, we encourage you to keep reaching out to others especially when so many are still feeling confined and isolated…Let’s keep the Lakeview United Church family connected!
